Large Houses

Raintree specialise in large houses right by the beach. Many of our houses are great for 2 or even 3 families. All are at the best beaches near Padstow – Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine Bay, Booby’s Bay, Harlyn and Trevone.

We also have many houses within yards of each other – allowing large family groups to take 2 or more houses at the same time.

So which are our large houses?

Big houses

The biggest of the lot is Trevethan House at Porthcothan. It sleeps 12 normally, but can sleep an extra 2 or 3 (a surcharge may be payable). But this does not really reflect the size of the house. It has 7 bedrooms and huge proportions throughout – swallowing 3 families effortlessly. So if you are planning a trip with a large group – but worried about everyone getting a little on top of each other? Take a look at Trevethan.

But now sleeping more and beginning to compete on overall size is Tresillian Cottage at Harlyn. Extended in 2010 to now sleep 13 with 2 bedrooms being in the ‘annexe’, Tresillian is now great for 2 or 3 families. And with its large and private ‘domain’ behind Harlyn beach, it really is a great location for big family get togethers or groups of friends.

Trewarren at Harlyn sleeps 12, and is a lovely characterful property right above the beach.

Treyarnon Point is an iconic house, known by most by its strikingly dominant position on the headland between Treyarnon and Constantine. It sleeps 12.

Cheyney at Constantine Bay is a large, modern and breathtaking house – with plenty of glass, bathrooms and style for its 12 guests. It also has a heat pump and is great for entertaining.

Cape Cod at Constantine Bay is new for 2012, sleeping 10, or 12 if the sofa bed in the 2nd living room is made up. Its right behind the du nes, a minute or 2 down the road onto the beach, and is very spacious and well furnished inside.

And for real luxury, have a look at Santa Marina at Trevone – beautifully finished inside and perfectly located yards from the beach.

Atlantic House also at Treyarnon sleeps 10, as does Windrushes - both yards from the beach. Atlantic is on the car park (North side of the bay) with easy walking round to Constantine, while Windrushes in on the South side.

Booby’s Bay Cottage sleeps 11 at Booby’s with a large garden and unbeatable location. Another legendary house around Trevose.

Curlews at Constantine Bay is a very smart house sleeping 10; and Flintstones sleeps 10 just by Constantine Bay Stores

While Penamont also can cater for 10, on Trevose estates just behind Trevose Golf Club.
