The Property

  • Atmosphere

Flintstones is now a thoroughly well presented property, with plenty of space for 2 families to have a great holiday. The living spaces are comfortable and well furnished – while the beds and linen give a sense of quality. The small but well positioned patio and garden, along with the perfect location, completes a fun and practical property.

  • Sleeping

Five bedrooms allow ten to sleep comfortably. The mattresses are new and very comfortable and the hall and bedrooms are all fitted with new wool carpet. All rooms have wardrobes with shelves or chests of drawers, bedside tables and lamps. The master bedroom has a five-foot double bed, basin and en-suite shower and loo. It is tastefully decorated with blue gingham lamp shades, blue and white curtains,  a mirror with thick wood surround and cream bedside cabinets. Opposite, a large twin room with basin has two 3ft singles that can be joined to make a super king bed - let us know which you would prefer when you book. Two further twin rooms lead off the main corridor.

Another large twin room leads off the sitting room and again is stylishly decorated. Elegant bedside lamps, an interesting blue chest of drawers and a large cream wardrobe set the scene. Again in this room, the twin beds can be fitted together to make a double - please let us know.

  • Bathrooms

There are ample bath and shower rooms at Flintstones.  The main bathroom contains a bath, separate shower, loo, basin and a natty fish design blind. Near the front door, off the hall, is a separate shower room with smooth black slate floor tiles and a new shower, loo and basin – while the ensuite to the master bedroom also contains a shower, loo and basin. The shower by the front door has been upgraded to a power shower - a welcome addition!

  • Living and Dining

The living area has recently been refurbished and now a huge living room dominates the centre of the property. The dining area is found here and has an extendable beech table and chairs to seat ten. The sitting area has three sofas (one a futon), an armchair and occasional chairs so that ten can sit and relax comfortably by the open fire. The two radiators in here are enclosed in wooden covers. Doors open from the sitting room out onto the patio area and garden respectively.

  • Kitchen

Flintstones is equipped with a modern kitchen, which includes seating around a central island, as well as a double electric cooker, a ceramic 'touch control' hob, microwave, dishwasher, two fitted fridges and separate fitted freezer. Tiled floor, wood worksurfaces and shaker-style cream cabinets complete the room.  A digital radio is provided. A back door opens out to the garden. Double doors open through into the living room.

  • Facilities

Entertainment includes a flat screen TV and DVD player as well as board games and puzzles. The house is also equipped with a fast wireless broadband connection, double-glazing and electric radiators.

Outside

Most of the garden is laid to lawn, with a patio that is perfect for alfresco dining or soaking up the sunshine. The lawned area of the garden is not huge, surrounding the back of the house, but it provides a rather pleasant enclosed space to enjoy the weather. As a centrepiece, a large cypress tree provides shade and stature, as well as plenty of fun for children's games. A barbecue and garden furniture are stored in the garage for your use. The garage is also home to the washing machine and tumble-dryer and is the place to store your surf boards and golf clubs and hang up wet suits. In front of the house there is ample parking for four cars.

Nearby

Flintstones is located up along drive opposite Constantine Bay Stores and Des’ surf shop at Constantine Bay. Trevose Golf Club is minutes walk away, providing access to the most spectacular golf course, tennis, swimming as well as a thriving bar and restaurant available to all. The well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores couldn’t be closer, with a range of quality goods that should allow you to avoid your car and the supermarket for quite a while on your stay. Des’ surf-shop next door will ensure you are well-informed and well-equipped to enjoy the wonderful beaches and surf on your doorstep – whether you wish to buy or rent your wetsuits and boards, or just have your first surf lesson.

The beach at Constantine can be reached down the beach road past the shops, or down a small footpath from the corner of the golf club and along the edge of the golf course. The path emerges in the middle of the fantastic dunes at the top of the beach after less than 10 minutes walk.

St Merryn is the nearby village providing pubs and shops, as well as a number of restaurants including Rosel and Co for a very special dining evening. Padstow is only 10 minutes drive away -with its array of boutique shopping and gourmet food.
