The Property

  • Atmosphere

Penjerrick is lovely converted cottage which has been furnished and maintained to the highest level. It is comfortable and very useable, and yet elegant and tasteful. All fittings are of a high quality.  The living space is largely open plan, on two levels with the room divided by two steps up into the sitting room. Floor tiles give way to stripped parquet floor in the sitting room, while neutral colours ensure that Penjerrick always feels bright and fresh.

  • Sleeping

A flight of stairs leads from the sitting room to the upstairs where there are two en-suite bedrooms. The room at the front has a 5' double bed affording views across the valley from the window. At the back, a second bedroom with twin beds has views across to Trevose Head and the sea in the distance. All beds are modern and very comfortable. Both rooms are well furnished, with thick carpet, wooden furniture and bedside lamps.

  • Bathrooms

Both ensuite bathrooms are very well furnished, with tongue and groove panelling and ceramic tile floors. One is equipped with power shower and the other with a bath. Both have a loo and basin.

  • Living

The sitting room is tastefully furnished in a modern, comfortable style with gas fired wood burning stove, two sofas and one chair, television, DVD, video, and a stereo with plenty of videos and CDs. At the end of the room, French windows open out onto the back garden creating a light and spacious feel.

  • Kitchen and Dining

The kitchen is well appointed at the front of the property. Ample cupboard space and a long work surface, sink, electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster and the washer/dryer machine make for an easy living style. Situated on your right are a wooden dining table and chairs with a beautiful dresser against the wall. A large bay window looks out over the driveway.

  • Facilities

Penjerrick has very efficient oil central heating and is now equipped with wireless broadband. There is a combined washing machine and dryer. There is good TV and DVD as well as a good CD player/stereo.

Outside

Penjerrick has it own garden and patio at the back, which has a table, chairs and sun loungers. Being the end property, there is a gate and path round to the front of the property. This keeps the garden fully enclosed. There is a lovely sea view from the grass at the front of the property - reminding how very close you to the beach and sea.

Just a stone's throw from Treyarnon beach but tucked away behind Waterbeach house, Penjerrick is sheltered from the wind in the winter months making it ideal for breaks all year round.

Nearby

Treyarnon’s amazing beach is almost on your doorstep, a few minutes walk down the lane. You can enjoy its large sweep of sand, wonderful rocks for climbing and pooling, or unbeatable headland walking both north and south. There is also Treyarnon’s natural swimming pool carved into the rocks – it can be found on the right (north) side of the bay below the headland. Surfing is also good at Treyarnon – receiving plenty of waves, but a little more manageable than some of the most exposed beaches. Mid to high tide is best. Lifeguards are in place at Treyarnon, May through September.

For a change, you can walk to Constantine Bay in less than 10 minutes across the flat and easy headland. Its fine even for children in pushchairs – and even if carrying your beach gear and picnic!

For local shopping, Gary’s shop in the beach car park can be very useful. For all manner of provisions and essentials, as well as your daily milk, bread and newspaper, it’s perfect. For a larger choice, you can walk up through the campsite to Constantine Bay Stores in less than 10 minutes. Here you will find a range of quality food that may allow you to really avoid driving all week. Next door is Des’ surf shop for all manner of surf gear, to buy or rent.

Locally, the Youth Hostel past the beach on the right is open to non residents at different times of the day – for drinks, coffee and snacks.
