Privacy Policy

Raintree take privacy of your personal information seriously.

Fundamentally:

  • we will not share any information about you with any other parties or companies
  • we are careful with how we manage your data and do not move it or transport it off our offices premises
  • we use the information only for the purposes stated below

In more detail:

1. What do we store?

We store your name and contact details such as address, telphone numbers and email address

We also retain information about holidays you have booked with us.

2. Why do we store your data?

We use information to contact our customers regarding bookings they have made and to try to ensure our customers have a good holiday.

If you do not unsubscribe, we may send you emails every now and again, detailing offers or news from Raintree. We will never sent more than 12 emails a year. This is very important to Raintree. As a small company, we want to take advantage of email communication as a cheap and simple way of keeping in touch with those who may be interested in our holiday houses. We also like to save money, energy and CO2 by not using the postal service. We intend to continue to increasingly use email as a major communication medium.

3. Where is the data stored?

Currently all our data is stored and backed up on site at Raintree’s offices. The only exception to this is temporary data stored on our web server that is hosted by a mainstream UK provider. We reserve the right in the future to take advantage of outsourced data storage or email solutions – but we would always retain control and security of this data ourselves.

4. How can you find out what information Raintree may hold?

We are happy to confirm the small amounts of information we hold for any individual. A request should be made in writing. We would take steps to ensure the identity of any requests made.
