Shopping

The shopping available in the area is great for many items – whether practical and dull for some (like fishing drop nets or golf gear), adrenaline fuelled (such as kites and surfboards) or of the more ’boutique’ style!

Padstow, Bedruthan Steps, Watergate Bay , Newquay, Wadebridge and Truro all offer a fun day out shopping.

PADSTOW – NO MORE THAN 15 MINUTES DRIVE FROM ANY OF OUR HOUSES

Padstow is blessed with a number of superb independent clothing boutiques, interior and gift shops which sit beside the more familiar high street brands. There are also a number of galleries perfect for finding an individual piece of artwork or perhaps some unique ceramics.

This website has a simple breakdown of some of what is available within Padstow

WADEBRIDGE & HAWKSFIELD – NO MORE THAN 30 MINUTES DRIVE FROM ANY OF OUR HOUSES

Before you get into Wadebridge just off the A39 is Hawksfield Cornwall  which is great for a quick pit stop with ample parking, a great cafe, artisan food, vintage furniture and a contemporary gallery space to take a look at.

Wadebridge is a great little town for independent shops. Indeed it has one of the lowest quotas of chain stores anywhere in the country. There is a good mix of shops with a variety of furniture, antique, book, flower and gift shops to choose from. There is also a handy cinema for the latest releases or for when the weather isn’t being quite so kind!
