A look back on 2025 with Raintree…

2025 was a really exciting year for Raintree and we’re so excited for what 2026 has in store! We wanted to have a look back on the year and all the changes we made (plus a few extra stats too!)

• We had 5 new houses join our books: West Winds, Whitehaven, Iona, No2 Treglos and No8 Sandhills. Such beautiful houses to add to our collection and it’s fantastic to be able to offer even more variety to our guests. We mean it when we say we have something for everyone! West Winds is our first house in Mawgan Porth and it’s lovely adding another beach to our collection too! As well as the new houses on our books, Spin and Carrek Cottage were both reopened after extensive renovations. Both have been given far more than a fresh lick of paint – they have both been totally redesigned and are looking incredible. Spin is a unique, striking property above Treyarnon Bay with unspoilt views up the coast and of the sea. Carrek is in the heart of Trevone – a beautiful, historic cottage, full of character and charm but now with sleek modern features. We’re looking forward to seeing them all enjoy a busy summer season! 

• As well as this, our longstanding property Windrushes has also been renovated and renamed Trevellan. Another beautiful, sun soaked property with sleek high end fittings and plenty of space for a large family gathering. 

 

 

• Aside from houses growing, you will probably notice our Raintree team growing too! We have welcomed a few new faces this year in the office and housekeeping meaning we can continue providing the Raintree service that has been known and loved for 40 years! We did sadly say goodbye to Rosemary after 36 and a half years as she started a well earned retirement (we are pleased to say she is currently enjoying the sun in Australia!)
  
• We always strive to do our bit for the community and the planet. This year we swapped the last of our petrol cars for electric meaning our entire vehicle fleet is now solar powered! We generated 21,614 kWh of solar power, continuing our mission to be as eco-friendly as we can. We also donated 275kg to the Wadebridge food bank in 2025 which is huge! A big thank you to all our guests for supporting this initiative and donating what they can. We also make a monthly donation ourselves as we feel it’s so important to support our local communities, particularly at this time of year.

• In 2025, we welcomed 1066 pets through our doors and 1396 bookings! With our new houses, we’re excited to increase this number next year and we love being able to offer both family and dog friendly houses in such a beautiful area of Cornwall.
• And to top it all off, we drank 12kg in the office! Just to add to the stats, and while we like to say we run on solar power, it’s also caffeine!
  
  We would like to take this chance to wish our staff, owners and guests a wonderful Christmas, festive period and New Year!
