The Property
- Atmosphere
Cobs is a well-presented and comfortable house in the heart of Constantine Bay - sited on its own big plot on Crescent Rise. It has a smart and spacious kitchen and dining room - opening out onto the enclosed terrace at the rear. Bedrooms are good-sized, and the two bathrooms are both modern and work well. The house is largely decorated throughout in neutral white, with wood floors and heavy good quality wooden internal doors. Cobs makes for a great and easy base for your holiday.
- Sleeping
The three bedrooms at Cobs are all found off the hall. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, 2 wall mounted bed-side lights, a basin, full length mirror and large fitted cupboards. Next door the twin room looks out onto the terrace at the rear and has 2 divan beds, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. It has its own very spacious en-suite shower room. Finally the bunk room is back up the hall – with full size bunk beds, chest of drawers and a small armchair.
- Bathrooms
There are two bathrooms at Cobs and a separate loo. The main family bathroom has a bath, with a power shower over and a shower curtain. There is also a heated towel rail. Through the twin room is the large ensuite bathroom. It has a loo, basin, and heated towel rail, as well as a good-sized shower cubicle with power shower. Its light and spacious and a nice room.
- Living
The living room is compact and cosy with comfortable seating all round. There is a leather sofa and 2 leather armchairs, as well as a 2nd sofa. There is a flat screen TV as well as a Sony Playstation console. Double doors lead through into the kitchen and dining room - making a large open living space if you wish.
- Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen is really the heart of the house. A large Smeg cream-coloured retro fridge/freezer sets the tone for the room - with cream cabinets and a black worktop around the wall in the kitchen. There is an electric hob and single oven, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Doors lead out to the terrace and the garden furniture, while the other end of the room is furnished with a wooden dining table and chairs seating 8 and a wooden sideboard.
- Facilities
Oil central heating keeps Cobs nice and warm when it’s not so warm out. There is wireless broadband.
Outside
Cobs has a large and private terrace and garden. The terrace area extends across the width of the house at the back, with outside seating for 6. Double and solid wood gates allow you to bring your car inside if you wish and park within the garden area - there is also a pedestrian gate leading to the front drive from the garden. Further on round the house the garden is laid to lawn, and a separate area of grass provides seclusion and shelter.
The garage has a pedestrian door - allowing you to store any items you wish during your stay, there is a dog cage in here if needed. There is plenty of parking on the private drive for 2-3 cars as well as in side the rear garden for 1 or 2 cars if required.
Nearby
Cobs is located on Crescent Rise at Constantine Bay. Trevose Golf Club is a few minutes walk away, providing access to the golf course, tennis courts, and useful swimming pool as well as a thriving bar and restaurant available to all. The well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores is also a couple of minutes away, with a range of quality goods that should allow you to avoid your car and the supermarket for quite a while on your stay. Constantine Bay surf shop (next door to the stores) will ensure you are well-informed and well-equipped to enjoy the wonderful beaches and surf on your doorstep – whether you wish to buy or rent your wetsuits and boards, or just have your first surf lesson.
The beach at Constantine can be reached down the beach road past the shops, or down a small footpath from the corner of the golf club and down along the edge of the golf course. The path emerges in the middle of the fantastic dunes at the centre of the beach after less than 10 minutes walk. You can exit Crescent Rise onto the main road through Constantine and head on down to the Golf Club and the beach beyond - or head across to the track that then breaks out by the shops and the top of the road down to the beach. Both are easy and flat walks. St Merryn is the nearby village providing pubs and shops, as well as a number of restaurants including Rafferty's, the Olive Tree or the Cornish Arms for a good supper. Padstow is also only 10 minute's drive away - with its array of boutique shops and gourmet eateries.

All good. Only improvement would be blinds in the bathrooms. There is privacy glass, but you can still see through!
Raintree Says:
Glad you had a really good time, I don't think we have heard about the glass before, but we will certainly consider and mention it to the owner.
