The Property

  • Atmosphere

Easterleigh is a recently refurbished very smart property, situated in super popular Constantine Bay. It has been decorated throughout with high quality fittings – creating a great atmosphere and style throughout. Beds are comfortable, the showers powerful and the bathrooms smart and new, the fittings thoughtful and chic – all giving a wonderful holiday feel.

The house is very light, with 3 sets of French windows leading out to the large terrace and garden. The kitchen is very well equipped, with granite worktops, quality appliances and a gorgeous Aga to keep you cosy in winter months. It is tucked away at the back of Constantine, giving privacy and seclusion while being only a short distance from all the action.

  • Sleeping

The bedrooms are all furnished with comfortable new beds, hanging and drawer space, bedside lights and bedside tables. The master bedroom can be found upstairs, with windows on 3 sides, a wrought iron bedstead and decorative painted furniture. It is very spacious and has views towards the sea. There is an ensuite shower room and a wall mounted flat screen TV.

Also upstairs is the large bedroom with twins and bunk-beds and the single room. The ‘dormitory’ will be loved by children, with plenty of space for fun and games. There are 2 white painted wooden beds and a full-sized painted bunk bed. Windows on 3 sides provide plenty of light and a lovely bright feel to the room. The single room is next door, and provides a great opportunity for a grandparent or child (older or younger) to have their own room and space.

The two further bedrooms are downstairs. They are both large spacious rooms. One is furnished with a king-size bed, taupe painted wooden bedside tables and chest of drawers, and a large wooden wardrobe. There is an elegant oval mirror, smart armchair for relaxing a while, and nice stripped wood floors. It has a large window, looking out over the terrace, which floods the room with light all day. At the end of the corridor is the 5thbedroom – again with stripped floors, but with smart metal framed single beds.

  • Bathrooms

All bathrooms have been refurbished, with tiled floors and are smart and well furnished. Downstairs there is the bathroom with a shower over. While upstairs there is a separate shower room and the ensuite shower room to the main bedroom.

  • Living

There are two great sitting rooms at Easterleigh, both with flat screen TVs, and French windows out onto the terrace. The main sitting room is a large room, with ample space for relaxation in front of the TV while others perhaps congregate around the wood burner on a cool evening. The sofas are super-comfy leather and with bright seaside paintings, large floor lamps and stripped wooden floors, the whole atmosphere in the room is very comfortable and relaxed.

Next door the smaller sitting room is also well equipped, with a  2nd TV, set up for DVD (without an aerial currently). This may well become your children’s favourite hangout!

Being able to open up both sitting rooms to the large sunny terrace is great for warm days and evenings.

  • Kitchen and Dining

The kitchen at Easterleigh is very elegant, large and well equipped. The kitchen units are painted cream wood, with black marble worksurfaces, all looking wonderful with the stone floors. The black electric Aga takes centre stage – available all year round, but turned off for your comfort in warmer months. There is a separate hob and a Miele built in microwave/oven. A Belfast sink, tiled splashback and top quality ‘extras’ complete a great kitchen to cook in!

A large marble topped island splits the kitchen from the dining area. There are stools as well perfect for breakfasting, and a very pretty wooden painted dresser. The long wooden table extends out towards the French windows, making a great space for dining or just relaxing at any time of day. There is a Roberts radio and IPOD doc provided in the kitchen.

  • Facilities

Easterleigh has full oil central heating making it cosy and comfortable all year round.

The utility room is accessed off the kitchen with its own external door to the outside. Here you will find the washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a 2nd Belfast sink and a ‘sheila maid’ dryer for drying or airing small items during your stay.

Three flat screen TVs ensure all can be accommodated if the weather turns against you for a day or two - the table football is always a favourite. There are 2 DVD players. There is wireless broadband and a telephone. Outside there is a charcoal Weber BBQ and a small football goal for shooting practise!

The large terrace is a major feature of the house. It can be accessed from French windows and doors out of many of the rooms. The garden is also large, allowing plenty of room for ball games or hide-and-seek. The garden is enclosed and secluded from neighbours. Please note that the lane outside is ‘unmade’ and quite tight – it makes the house nice and quiet with no or little passing traffic.

Easterleigh is located on the edge of Constantine surrounded on one side by open fields. Leaving the house you can turn left, heading down the lane and then walk down the wide verge of the road into Constantine, coming in past the golf course. Or you can turn left, and then head down the unmade lane, popping out after a few minutes at Constantine Bay Stores and the top of the beach road.

Trevose Golf Club is a few minutes walk away, providing access to the most spectacular golf course, tennis, swimming as well as a thriving bar and restaurant available to all. The well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores is also a few minutes walk away, with a range of quality goods that should allow you to avoid your car and the supermarket for quite a while on your stay. Constantine Bay surfshop next door will ensure you are well-informed and well-equipped to enjoy the wonderful beaches and surf on your doorstep – whether you wish to buy or rent your wetsuits and boards, or just have your first surf lesson.

The beach at Constantine can be reached down the beach road past the shops, or down a small footpath from the corner of the golf club and down along the edge of the golf course. The path emerges in the middle of the fantastic dunes at the centre of the beach after less than 10 minutes walk.

St Merryn is the nearby village providing pubs and shops, as well as a number of restaurants including Rosel and Co for a very special dining evening. Padstow is only 10 minutes drive away - with its array of boutique shopping and gourmet food.

The house is wonderful, we first stayed there 5 years ago & fell in love with it & have since been desperate to return. I have also stayed in White Walls a few times (we love Constantine!). The service & ease of use you guys offer is fabulous.
