  • Atmosphere

Pendoric has been completely remodeled and expanded throughout to create a supremely comfortable and stylish house, the kind of place that really helps create happy holiday memories. It has been thoughtfully finished with quality materials and furnishings and is comfortable and spacious. It boasts a dramatic upstairs sitting room with large wood burner and Velux windows which fold out to create useful small balconies. The views from here are of the sea and coastline wide across the whole horizon and are superb. The kitchen is large and very luxurious, with a granite topped island, Aga, desk area and convenient double doors leading out onto the private rear terrace. The entrance hall is double height – really setting the scene for the dramatic and beautiful house beyond.

The house sits in a large plot and is surrounded by well planted lush gardens with a large lawned areas and super sunny patio. It can sleep 9 in 4 bedrooms and benefits from 2 sitting rooms, one on each floor. It sits in a tucked away yet convenient location perfect for the golf club at Trevose (there is a gate in the garden allowing access out to the road very near to the golf club!) and only 10 minute’s walk from the beach at Constantine.

  • Sleeping

The house sleeps 9 in 4 bedrooms, the 2 downstairs bedrooms are made up of two twins (one can be made up as a super-king). The first twin has its own ensuite shower room with a large window that lets in good light and enjoys pleasant views out the over the garden. The second twin is next-door and again benefits from an ensuite – this time with bath. They both feature contemporary bedside tables, chest of drawers and built in wardrobes.

The first floor bedrooms consist of a king-size double off to the left as you reach the top of the stairs with a neat built in window seat and attractive views of the sea in the distance from one of the two windows. The 4th and final bedroom, at the end of the upstairs landing, is a bunk room with a bunk bed and one single bed. It's a great room for children and features great natural light with dual aspect windows.

  • Bathrooms

Pendoric has a good selection of bathrooms to complement its size. On the ground floor there is a separate spacious shower room just off the utility room by the back door to provide a convenient place to shower off after a day at the beach or on the golf course without walking through the house first. The other two bathrooms on the ground floor are both ensuites which serve each twin respectively. One has built in shower, loo and basin, the other a bath with shower over, loo and basin.

Upstairs there is the main family bathroom with bath, with good quality shower over, basin and loo which also enjoys good natural light through a well-positioned skylight. The last upstairs shower room is ensuite to the master bedroom, and features a large and smart shower cubicle, basin and loo again with super natural light streaming through a skylight in the roof plane. All are freshly decorated and contemporary in finish with the upstairs bathrooms and the shower room off the utility being of particularly good quality.

  • Living

Pendoric features two living spaces, one on each floor. The most dramatic would have to be the first floor living space which is hard to beat. It’s flooded with light through windows on all sides and features tall skylights that can quickly become small but very effective balconies once opened. The room enjoys far reaching views out over the fields to the sea, with the whole horizon virtually filled – the view is panoramic! It is a comfortable and light space with deep carpet and a large quality sofa. There are also two well positioned armchairs angled to face the views. Its perfect for games, watching movies on the flat screen TV or gathering around the modern wood burner in the corner at colder times of the year. The second sitting room is on the ground floor and is a very practical space connecting directly onto the kitchen and provides another very useful private place to relax on a sofa and watch TV. There is a woodburner here as well, perfect for cosy comfort.

  • Kitchen and dining

There is a spacious feel in the kitchen area with windows to the side and back. It’s a very special room! It features a modern fitted kitchen with a central island with in-built breakfast bar seating two. There is an electric Aga and electric cooker, large fridge freezer and separate freezer also. It is a light, open plan space with polished granite worktops and a large dining table that can easily seat 9. The kitchen is central to the ground floor and connects you to the sitting room in one corner and also leads through to the useful utility space in the other. The sunny patio can also be reached straight from the kitchen and is a great setting for a large family barbecue. The kitchen is very much the hub of the house.

  • Facilities

Pendoric has a very useful utility area off the kitchen – with a further sink, worktop and storage. The washing machine and tumble dryer are located here. Through the utility is the large showeroom located right next to the external door. The house has an air-source heat pump feeding under-floor heating throughout the house, and there is an electric Aga in the kitchen. Upstairs in the top sitting room is a wood burner, and an open fire in the downstairs sitting room, and there is a TV and DVD in both rooms. There is wireless broadband and a telephone. There is ample parking for 3 cars off the road, and more free parking on the verges outside if needed.

  • Outside

The house has an inviting paved patio accessed directly out of the kitchen or around the house from the main garden, with outdoor table and chairs. The garden is large and surrounds the house on all 4 sides. At the front, there are 2 parking spaces and a patch of lawn. A gate secures access into the main garden area by the front door – a big patch of lawn, good for running around and ball games of all sorts. Then, round the side of the house, past the herb garden, is a further lawned area above the private and sunny patio. At the bottom of the lower garden is a convenient gate which leads out to the road by Trevose Golf Club – a very convenient shortcut for the golf club, and also on the way to the beach or shops.

  • Nearby

Trevose Golf Course is within very easy access, being only a 2-3 minute walk. Those who know will testify what a friendly place this is, as well as being a fantastic golf course. It is often the hub of activity at Constantine – providing a bar and restaurant, tennis and outdoor swimming pool. In the summer there are plenty of extra activities for all, and especially teenagers.

Constantine Bay Stores and Des’ surf shop are just back along the lane, perfect for most of your needs. St Merryn is close, and Padstow only a 10 minute drive – for larger shops, some retail therapy and of course great restaurants.

The beach is less than 10 minutes down the beach path alongside the golf course – or down the beach road. Booby’s Bay and Treyarnon beaches are also an easy and fun walk. Whether you seek activity and entertainment, relaxation or tranquility, the location is perfect.

Yes we had a lovely time at Pendoric the house was great and matched our needs perfectly. The only negative point is that it did not have a sun shade / parasol which would have made a big difference when sitting in the garden also a couple of sun loungers would go down well.
We would like to book again next year for the same week which I assume would be Sunday 9th to 16th June 2024

Only one small thing, the toaster wasn’t working properly , the element had gone on one side. However Pendoric is an excellent holiday home, extremely comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed a fabulous week there.
