Seascape is a well-loved single storey property in prime location in Constantine Bay. It has been in the same family for many years, and has regular guests who come year after year. Although not overly large, Seascape allows 6 adults and 4 children to live easily and comfortably. It has now benefited from a major extension and re-design in early 2018, creating spacious living areas and wonderful access to the large sunny terrace, while parking is now moved to the rear of the property. The house is light and comfortable, with a particularly well-furnished sitting room - in fact taking the best that Seascape has offered over the years and bringing right up-to-date.
There are 5 bedrooms at Seascape. The main bedroom is found at the far end of the house and has been recently redecorated with new paintwork, basin, carpets and curtains. It is normally made-up as a large super-king bed, but can be prepared as 2 singles. The 2nd double is also equipped with a basin. There are 2 bunk bed rooms which are most suitable for children and teenagers, while a 5th twin room can be found at the back of the house and also can be made up as a super-king on request.
The 2 bathrooms are modern and well equipped. One has a bath and overhead shower with solid screen. The 2nd has a power shower. Both work well and are simple and effective.
The living room dominates one end of the house and is now a large and welcoming room, with two separate focuses - a sofa and 2 armchairs around the fire and TV, while 2 further sofas and 2 stylish chairs and the long window seat are for enjoying the views out to the garden and terrace. There is comfortable seating for 12-14, and the whole ambience, with original art on the walls, is one of peace, space and calm. A large sliding door leads into the kitchen/dining room, effectively creating a large and open plan space throughout the whole living area of Seascape.
- Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen and dining area are the hub of the house, well furnished and can be opened up to the large terrace and garden via French doors. When open in good weather, the light and fun of the garden is really brought into the house - whether eating in or out, this is a great communal space for dining. There is plenty of work surface, and a 4 ring electric hob and oven. The dining table dominates one end of the room, with seating for 10, right by the French doors. The 2 wooden picnic tables outside ensure there is plenty of space to eat out on the terrace whenever the weather allows.
Seascape has a washing machine, small tumble dryer and dishwasher. There is also a TV provided in the sitting room. There is an open fire in the sitting room and the house benefits from double glazing throughout. There is parking for 2-3 inside the gates at the rear of the property, a further 1 or 2 just outside the gates, and also scope to park up/down the lane if needed.
The garden outside is dominated by the great new terrace at the front of the property, finished in black slate an partially enclosed with a low wall. Its a great space, and really to be appreciated with the French doors open, and enjoying drinks just inside or outside the doors. The rest of the garden is a large flat space laid to lawn, and extending around to the back of Seascape where a back door leads out to a morning suntrap, perhaps perfect for your morning coffee. There is plenty of space for cricket or football on the main lawn. Although not huge, the garden is always well-used for fun, relaxation and games.
Seascape can be found 1 house back opposite Constantine Bay Stores and Constantine Bay surf store. Trevose Golf Club is minutes walk away, providing access to the most spectacular golf course, tennis and swimming as well as a thriving bar and restaurant available to all. The well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores couldn’t be closer, with a range of quality goods that should allow you to avoid your car and the supermarket for quite a while on your stay. The surf-shop next door will ensure you are well-informed and well-equipped to enjoy the wonderful beaches and surf on your doorstep – whether you wish to buy or rent your wetsuits and boards, or just have your first surf lesson.
The beach at Constantine can be reached down the beach road past the shops, or down a small footpath from the corner of the golf club and along the edge of the golf course. The path emerges in the middle of the fantastic dunes at the top of the beach after less than 10 minutes walk.
St Merryn is the nearby village providing pubs and shops, as well as a number of restaurants and pubs. Padstow is only 10 minutes drive away with its superb array of boutique shops and gourmet eateries.
