The Peak enjoys a very special location overlooking the sea at Constantine. The house is large and sits in a huge garden - with sea views from both the house and garden. The tone is set as you approach the house through a large 5 bar gate, before swinging round the circular drive in front of the house. Staying here is a real privilege! The house is well-presented and maintained - being a perfect family holiday house. There are many different living areas around the house - ensuring some relaxed space and privacy for all. Perfectly positioned just a short walk from both Constantine and Treyarnon beaches, and the renowned Trevose Golf Club
There are 5 bedrooms at the The Peak, all are upstairs and most have fantastic views across the lawns of the garden to the sea. At the top of the stairs, to the right you will find the 2 twin rooms. The 1st overlooks the drive and gardens and has jolly blue curtains, a chest of drawers and a basin. There is no hanging in this room. The 2nd twin also has a basin and chest of drawers and a fitted wardrobe. It looks North-West over the golf course to Trevose Head.
The two super-king rooms (one now en suite) also have staggering views across the golf-course to the sea and Trevose Head. Each room is very spacious, with chests of drawers, wardrobes and suit case racks. Both rooms are great - no need to draw lots for choice of room here!
Next door across the landing, is the single room - equipped with a chest of drawers.
The main bathroom can be found upstairs at the far end of the landing. As with so much of the house, there are great views. The room has a separate shower unit, a bath, basin and large heated towel rail. Near the top of the stairs is a modern separate shower room. There is also now a further en suite bathroom leading off the Super King at the end of the corridor with shower, heated towel rail, basin and loo.
Downstairs there are 2 separate cloakrooms, and there is an outside heated shower - perfect for when you come straight off the beach.
The Peak has plenty of living space. The main sitting room is furnished with large and medium sized sofas, an armchair, as well as a small table and chairs - perfect for cards or other games. There is an attractive and modern electric fire in the fireplace with a large flat screen TV over the top on the wall.
The sitting room leads out to a spacious south-west facing conservatory. Here you can enjoy wicker chairs and the huge opening windows looking out over the garden and sea beyond. There is also an external door leading out onto the small terrace to the south.
Back inside, leading off the hall, is the snug, with a large corner sofa, piano, and small TV. Maybe the children may claim this room - while leaving you to enjoy the calm of other areas!
- Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen/dining room is well equipped and spacious. The kitchen itself is galley-style and perfect for preparing and serving cooked breakfast for a full house. There is a dishwasher of course, as well as a twin oven, electric hob, large fridge/freezer and microwave. The washing machine and tumble dryer are also fitted here. An external door leads out to the large north-west terrace - allowing you to keep things cool when the cooking gets hot!
The kitchen opens up into the dining area where a good-sized wooden dining table seating 9 can also be found.
The Peak is equipped with wireless broadband and a telephone. It has a dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer. The heating is provided via storage heaters - but the house is cosy and warm all year round. There is also sturdy wooden outside furniture and a large gas-fired Weber BBQ.
Guests are spoilt at The Peak with a huge, level garden - with the enormous sea and sky filling the vista to the West. Round the house, there are 2 terraces - one huge, running the full length of the house and the other small and sheltered. Here you can find the wooden outside furniture. Entry into the house (when you first arrive) is via the large double garage. The garage itself is a great space for storing your surfboards, wetsuits and beach gear. There is also a spare fridge here.
The Peak is located off Sandy Common which is half-way down the beach road at Constantine. The best of both worlds! The shops and Trevose Golf Club are just a short walk back up the road - while the beach is just a 5 minute walk down the road. No need to drive the whole week! Constantine Bay Stores has a good range of food and drinks, while the surf shop next door has all the news, views and rental equipment you could want!
The Golf Course is very welcoming to non-residents - perfect for golf, tennis or swimming. As well as walking to Constantine beach, Treyarnon is hardly any further, easiest across the headland from Constantine. Walking is fantastic in both directions - to Trevose Head and beyond to Harlyn, Trevone and Padstow. While if going south, you will cross Treyarnon Bay, then on to Porthcothan Bay and beyond. Padstow is just a 5-10 minute drive away. It has a great selection of restaurants and boutique shops - great fun for a quick trip, or for regular pampering. As well as Rick Stein's restaurants, Jamie Oliver's 15 restaurant is just 10-15 minutes away, near Newquay Airport.

We had a lovely week at the Peak such a lovely house and garden the grandchildren loved the space and the beach was wonderful. It was our sixth holiday in Cornwall and I have to say The Raintree house has the gold star as far as we are concerned it was beautifully clean when we arrived, bed linen and towels spotless and had everything you said it would, what a treat. Thank you.

Thank you for the tea and cake on arrival – very welcome. It was well stocked and lovely and clean – a great house, we’ve loved being here.
We had a lovely week, everything was well organised and the house was very well equipped and comfortable. We loved the position of being able to walk to the beach and coastal path.

We can say we have had a wonderful time.
The Peak really suits what we want. A short walk to the beach, plenty of space both inside and out and views and sounds of the sea.
We have enjoyed our stay that much, we will definitely book again.

We all liked ‘The Peak’ very much. It felt very cosy in a wet and windy fortnight; we liked its homely feel better than that of the glass and stainless steel palaces that seem to abound in Cornwall nowadays. We enjoyed the combination of spacious grounds and complete privacy and the easy walk to the beach in one direction and the shop in the other. We have been visiting Constantine and Treyarnon annually for over 40 years so we know what we are talking about!
Also we are very impressed with the service offered by Raintree. All the organisation has gone smoothly and problems dealt with promptly and cheerfully.

We had a fantastic Christmas holiday at The Peak. We were very impressed by how well equipped the house was, particularly for cooking Christmas lunch for a family. There was even a lemon juicer (which we used)! The beds were the most comfortable of any holiday house we have stayed in for years, and the addition of blackout linings in the bedrooms a welcome touch, even more so when the days are longer, I would assume.
