The Property

  • Atmosphere

Whitehaven is a newly renovated five-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the heart of Constantine Bay, offering stunning sea views from the upper floor and just a short walk from the golden sands of Constantine and Treyarnon beaches.

Designed for practical and easy living, the property features a spacious open-plan living and dining area, complemented by a separate, well-equipped kitchen. The layout flows effortlessly, making it ideal for family life or entertaining guests.

Set on a huge plot, Whitehaven provides ample parking and a welcoming front garden. At the rear, a sunny, private decked terrace leads onto an expansive, flat garden, perfect for outdoor activities, relaxing in the sun, or enjoying alfresco dining.

  • Kitchen, living and dining

The kitchen at Whitehaven is bright and welcoming, with crisp white cabinetry and matching worktops. Dual-aspect windows overlook the front garden and the side of the house, filling the space with natural light. Fully equipped with an oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer, it has everything you need to prepare holiday meals with ease. A coffee machine adds a touch of convenience for relaxed mornings. As a separate room from the lounge-diner, it offers a dedicated space for cooking while still keeping you close to family and friends.

The open-plan living area is bright and welcoming, with the lounge at the front of the house. Two blue futon-style sofas provide comfortable seating, and a TV is ready for relaxed evenings. Pops of artwork on the white walls add character and interest. The dining area comfortably seats 8 to 10 and is filled with natural light from French windows that open directly onto the decked terrace, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.

  • Bedrooms and bathrooms

On the ground floor, Whitehaven has two inviting bedrooms. The first is a spacious king room with a black metal bed, bright white walls, and neutral carpeting. It overlooks the front garden, filling the room with natural light. The second is a twin room with pine single beds, offering views over the rear terrace. Both rooms provide comfortable, restful retreats after a day on the coast. Upstairs, Whitehaven offers three light-filled bedrooms. The master king features a white wooden bed and oak-effect flooring, with views stretching towards Trevose Head. The second is a twin with white single beds and the same oak-effect flooring, also benefiting from the coastal outlook. The third twin has pine single beds and overlooks the rear garden, providing a restful and private space at the back of the house.

The house has three well-appointed bathrooms. Upstairs, a modern shower room features a large walk-in shower with a rainfall head, along with a basin and loo. It’s a spacious, bright room designed for comfort and convenience. Downstairs, the main bathroom includes a bath, basin, and loo, ideal for unwinding after a day at the beach. The utility room also doubles as a practical shower room, complete with an additional loo and basin, perfect for rinsing off sandy feet after time by the sea.

  • Facilities

The house has electric heating throughout to ensure a cosy stay all year round. There is ample parking for 4 or 5 cars on the driveway.

Outside

Whitehaven sits within a generous plot, with large gardens to both the front and rear. A spacious decked terrace extends from the dining area, furnished with a large table and chairs for alfresco meals and relaxed summer evenings. Beyond, the gardens are mostly laid to lawn, offering plenty of room for outdoor games, picnics, or simply stretching out in the sunshine. The grounds provide space and privacy, perfect for enjoying long, easy days outdoors.

Nearby

Whitehaven is located on Sandy Common, a private road tucked away yet in the heart of Constantine Bay. Trevose Golf Club is a couple of minutes’ walk away, providing access to one of the best coastal links courses, tennis, swimming as well as a bar and restaurant available to all. The well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores is also a short walk away, with a range of quality goods that should allow you to avoid using your car and the supermarket during your stay. Constantine Bay surf shop, next door, will ensure you are well-informed and well-equipped to enjoy the wonderful beaches and surf on your doorstep – whether you wish to buy or rent your wetsuits and boards, or just have your first surf lesson.

The beach at Constantine is less than a 10 minute walk via the beach road, and gives easy access to Constantine itself or Booby’s Bay at the north end of the sweep of golden sand.

St Merryn is the nearby village providing pubs and shops, as well as a number of restaurants including Rafferty's, The Doghouse or the Cornish Arms for a good supper. Padstow is only a 10 minute drive away - with its array of boutique shops, gourmet restaurants and the ferry across the Camel estuary to Rock and Polzeath.
