  • Ysella (previously called Stymies) is professionally cleaned by the Raintree housekeeping team. For stays of two weeks or more, the house will be cleaned and the bed linen and towels changed weekly

  • Atmosphere

Ysella is an architect designed home built in 2019 with real character, space, style and luxury to provide a great setting for your holiday in Constantine Bay. The specification throughout is very high and it is incredibly spacious with completely level access throughout ground floor. The open-plan living space is dominated by huge sliding doors that open up the whole room to the sheltered and private rear patio and garden. The main living area has a superb large ceiling height allowing for a mezzanine living and sleeping space above. There is nowhere better than the downstairs living area, for family lunches and suppers that can then spill out onto the terrace. It’s also perfect for cosy evenings in with the huge L shaped sofa, large wall mounted TV and glass doors providing comfortable protection from the elements with the generous wood burner keeping everyone toasty and warm inside. The bedrooms are spacious and well proportioned, and the 3 bath/shower rooms ensure no-one misses out.

  • Sleeping

There are four bedrooms at Ysella, two downstairs and two upstairs. The downstairs ensuite double bedroom is off the main living area and has a king-sized bed. The room is painted in neutral colours and has a hanging rail and chest of drawers. The ensuite has a loo, basin and walk in shower.

The second spacious double room is similarly furnished with a king sized bed and is upstairs on the mezzanine level; it has a large chest of drawers and hooks on the back of the door for storage. This room has a window overlooking the back garden and sea views beyond. Also on the mezzanine level is the single room. This room also has a chest of drawers, hooks on the door and overlooks the back garden and views to Trevose Head and Harlyn. The fourth bedroom is downstairs and is furnished with a set of bunk beds and a single bed. There is a large chest of drawers and there are hooks on the back of the doors and additional storage in the cloakroom area outside the room. There is also an additional fifth bedroom which has an adapted ensuite which can be made available for guests with limited mobility, on request.

  • Bathrooms

There are plenty of bathrooms at Ysella, perfect for a family beach holiday and all are spacious and modern with high specification fixtures and fittings. The ground floor shower room next to the bunk room has a large walk in shower with loo and basin. Here there is a rail to hang wetsuits, perfect for showering after the beach. Also on the ground floor, the downstairs king room has a nicely appointed ensuite with walk in shower, loo and basin. There is an additional small bathroom in the eaves on the mezzanine level next to the single room. It has a bath (with shower attachment), loo and basin There is also a hot shower just outside the front door, ideal for washing off the sand before entering the house.

  • Living, Kitchen and Dining

Ysella offers perfect open-plan living! The huge central living area provides plenty of space for groups to relax and enjoy their ‘down time’ or get together for meals. The kitchen is very high specification with boiling water tap (no need to wait for a kettle to boil!), an integrated double oven, fridge freezer and granite topped central-island incorporating the induction hob. It is very well equipped and there is plenty of storage and food preparation space. There is a large table to seat everyone in the party in comfort and space on stylish chairs.

Huge sliding double doors open up the whole living area to the terrace and garden outside where there is outdoor seating for eight and also bean bags for lounging on the terrace. In the lounge area there is an integrated log burner, wall mounted smart TV, sonos speaker and large L shaped sofa. Perfect for everyone to relax and enjoy a film or listen to some music. The floor is tiled in slate throughout the downstairs and the feeling is very modern and smart, with neutral colours used throughout.

From the main living area there is an impressive wooden and glass staircase leading to the mezzanine level where there is a sofa, perfect for a little quiet time looking down over the living area and out to the garden and the views to Trevose and Harlyn beyond.

  • Facilities

Ysella is very well appointed. It enjoys underfloor heating throughout and has a large wood burner as well, ensuring that Ysella is warm and cosy all year round. The washing machine and dryer are tucked away in the utility, along with a large Belfast sink, next to the front door.  There is space for coats and shoes and additional storage in the cloakroom area. There is a hot outside shower and rail for hanging wetsuits outside.

Ysella is perfect for one small, well behaved dog (in downstairs living areas) and a crate is provided under the stairs for guests use.

  • Outside

The main garden at Ysella is at the back of the house, enclosed by high hedges, and is plenty large enough for fun and ball games. It may be accessed through the main sliding doors straight onto the paved terrace. Here there is a table and chairs for outdoor dining. There is also a fire pit style BBQ which burns wood.

Round the front there is plenty of parking for 2 or 3 cars on the driveway.

  • Nearby

Ysella is located on Sandy Common, a private road tucked away yet in the heart of Constantine Bay. Trevose Golf Club is a couple of minutes’ walk away, providing access to the most spectacular golf course, tennis, swimming as well as a bar and restaurant available to all. The well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores is also a short walk away, with a range of quality goods that should allow you to avoid using your car and the supermarket during your stay. Constantine Bay surf shop, next door, will ensure you are well-informed and well-equipped to enjoy the wonderful beaches and surf on your doorstep – whether you wish to buy or rent your wetsuits and boards, or just have your first surf lesson.

The beach at Constantine is less than a 10 minute walk via the beach road, and gives easy access to Constantine itself or Booby’s Bay at the north end of the sweep of golden sand.

St Merryn is the nearby village providing pubs and shops, as well as a number of restaurants including Rafferty's, the Olive Tree or the Cornish Arms for a good supper. Padstow is only a 10 minute drive away - with its array of boutique shops, gourmet restaurants and the ferry across the Camel estuary to Rock and Polzeath.
