Key Features
- Atmosphere
Trevaunance is an impressive Padstow property with fresh, modern interiors and a huge contemporary cooking, eating and relaxing space. Far reaching views across the Camel Estuary provide a wonderful backdrop for dining and relaxing. When nobody wants to cook, wander into town and sample some of the many foodie venues that Padstow has to offer. Explore the winding streets of the old town and pick up a souvenir or two from one of the many independent shops. Those looking for a more active holiday can take advantage of the eighteen mile Camel Trail for cycling and walking to Wadebridge and Bodmin which is just a minute or two away.
- Kitchen, living and dining
The heart of Trevaunance is the huge open plan ground floor kitchen-diner. This sociable space features a chunky glass topped table, comfortably seating 8 and is the perfect spot for supper with family or friends. The cooks in the party will be at home in the stylish kitchen which is fully equipped with a gas range style oven for whipping up a holiday feast. Once fed, either relax and watch TV in the adjacent living area or for some quieter repose head to formal sitting room and just enjoy the view. An additional dining table overlooks the front and enjoys views across to Rock – enjoy a lazy breakfast here watching the world go by before embarking on a busy day holidaying. The ground floor is also home to a useful utility with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a cloakroom. The front porch provides useful storage space for beach equipment and wellies.
- Bedrooms and bathrooms
On the first floor there are three bedrooms. The first is a lavish king size with ensuite shower room. This room overlooks the estuary and has plenty of storage space for holiday togs. The second king is generous in size and has its own balcony which catches the early morning sunshine – perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. The final room on this floor is a double which enjoys a view of the rear garden. The family bathroom is also located on the first floor and has a corner bath with separate shower cubicle. Venture up to the second floor and you will find a twin room, again with estuary views. This is the perfect hangout for the younger members of the party, with a huge beanbag and its own TV. This room also has an ensuite shower room.
- Facilities
Trevauance has central heating throughout. The sitting room at the front of the house also has a wall mounted fire for extra atmosphere and warmth. Parking is at the rear of the house with space for two cars on the private drive. It’s best to reverse into these spaces to ensure that driving out is easy. Further on-street may be possible at the front and surrounding side roads.
- Outside
An outside private patio provides space for sunny day relaxing and evening barbeques. A table with candy coloured chairs makes alfresco dining easy. A tiered garden leads up to the two private parking spaces at the rear of the house.
- Nearby
Trevaunance is in a great spot for exploring Padstow’s harbour and winding streets. From Padstow it is also possible to take the passenger ferry across to Rock to explore further shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. From Rock it's easy to walk along the estuary and enjoy the large stretch of golden sand at Daymer Bay.
The Padstow side of the estuary is also easily accessible by foot from the house and can be reached in under 15 minutes. The large stretch of sand at Tregirls beach is particularly attractive.
