Lowena has been recently refurbished beautifully in light colours throughout and yet retains lots of original features, including panelled inner doors and exposed wooden floorboards. As soon as you walk in you feel at home, it really is special and well-loved. The living space and 3 good sized bedrooms are set on the ground floor with a further large king bedroom in the eaves. The terrace at the rear of the property is sunny and sheltered, and has a large table and chairs for 8, and is a great place for a meal or coffee at any time of day.
The house is situated set back from the beach road leading down into Trevone, away from the hustle and bustle and yet in walking distance to the facilities, beach and coast path. The best of both worlds!
Kitchen Living and Dining
You enter the property through a useful utility with washing machine and tumble dryer. This leads to the kitchen tastefully decorated with pastel wall tiles and plenty of cupboard space. There is an electric oven with gas hob, dish washer , integrated fridge freezer and also a Nespresso coffee machine. In addition to the large table in the dining room, there is a smaller table seating 4 in the kitchen.
Further on down the hall is the comfortable lounge with plenty of seating and a wood burner. Here is a TV and DVD player and Bluetooth speaker or you could curl up with your favourite book on the sofa in the bay windows, where you can catch a glimpse of the sea. There are superb original paintings to be admired, adding to the homely feel mirrored throughout the property. There is a large dining room table with ample seating and French doors leading out to the front garden, a great place to enjoy a meal in comfort with the feeling of being outside.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Lowena sleeps eight in four good-sized bedrooms, making it ideal for 2 small or one large family or a group! The light airy master bedroom is in the eaves on the first floor and has 3 velux windows, from the front one you can catch a glimpse of the sea. There is a wardrobe and plenty of storage space, a lovely room to relax in.
On the ground floor there are 3 good sized bedrooms. To the front of the house is a large king with an impressive bay window. There is plenty of hanging and storage space and a small TV. The two further bedrooms are a twin, which can be made up as a super king on request and a double that has French doors leading out to the back garden.
Next to the double bedroom is the family bathroom which has a bath and integrated shower/shower screen over. There is a further bathroom off the utility with a large walk in shower.
Lowena is centrally heated throughout. There is wireless broadband and some mobile reception at the house on certain networks.
On arrival at Lowena you will find ample parking for up to 4 cars on the private drive. There is a large driveway and a garage which guests can use for storage or a game of darts! The front garden is laid to lawn, bordered by a hedge. At the back of the house is a large and attractive terraced area, perfect for a glass of wine in the evenings, a cup of coffee at breakfast, or a full long lunch, weather permitting!
Trevone Bay Surf Store is right on the beach and offers surfboard, kayak, paddle board and wetsuit hire, as well as delicious ice creams and a good variety of beach goods and clothes. There is also a café here serving good coffee, cakes and light meals during the day and is also now open for dinner in the evenings and has a good reputation.
The village shop provides newspapers, fresh bread and pasties daily, throughout the main season. Padstow Farm Shop is also a short walk or drive on the coast path towards Padstow and supplies top quality meat and vegetables, amongst other goodies!
Explore the coast path in either direction - round the heading past Hawker's Cove to Padstow, or south to Harlyn, Trevose Head and beyond. Dogs can run free on Newtrain beach all year round, whilst the main beach is suitable for whichever activity takes your fancy - sunbathing, surfing, swimming, rock-pooling, beach games - or just some horizontal downtime soaking up the sun (with a bit of luck!).

From Visitor Book: We had a great week at Lowena with great food, views and overall a wonderful stay. Our dog Pippa loved sunbathing in the front garden and many warm evenings were spent at the outside table in the sunshine. The house is great with a really well equipped kitchen containg everything we needed. It is a lovely place to stay in Trevone and we would love to come again, thank you.
