Santa Marina is located right above the beautiful sandy beach at Trevone. The steps to the beach are within 10 metres of the front door. The house itself has been designed and equipped to the highest standard – neutral colours fill the house and compliment the wonderful natural light that fills all the living space. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves, and to have their own peaceful space when they wish.
Throughout the ground floor, bleached oak floors provide a real ‘beach house’ feel, while rich wool carpets throughout the upper floors provide a sense of real luxury. A very special property.
Santa Marina has three double bedrooms on the 1st and two twin rooms on the 2nd floor.
The master bedroom and a 2nd double room both have splendid views over the beach, dramatic headland and ‘blowhole’ opposite. The 3rd double has views over Trevone and fields surrounding. All rooms are furnished immaculately, with thick and comfortable mattresses and pillows, and crisp white 200 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. The master bedroom has a super king size bed, while the 2nd and 3rd double beds are both king size.
The two twin rooms are immaculately presented with heavy wood furniture throughout. The same uncompromising style dominates the design, fixtures and fittings.
The main bathroom on the 1st floor provides a huge ‘waterfall’ shower across the full width of the room. Contemporary designer bathroom fixtures abound, with stone floor and wall tiles throughout. There is a loo in the main bathroom and another in a separate room next door.
The 2nd large bathroom is found on the 2nd floor, complete with heavy free-standing roll-top bath and a separate and large luxurious shower.
On the ground floor is a downstairs loo off the utility room. There is also a separate area leading to the back door out to the courtyard, containing a large shower and hanging space for beach towels and wetsuits. An outside shower has also been located just outside the back door – allowing you to come up from the beach, through the security coded back door into the courtyard, shower off quickly outside, before finally having a rather longer and more luxurious shower inside.
Santa Marina has many different rooms for entertainment and relaxation.
One sitting area is adjoined to the kitchen and dining area and bounded on one side by floor-to-ceiling glass doors out to the courtyard, and furnished with a sofa and comfortable chairs. The main plasma screen TV is located here, complete with DVD and Sky, as is the house’s fully integrated music system complete with IPod dock. A black slate floor compliments the room perfectly. Above, glass vents can be opened to provide further ventilation.
With the television located off the kitchen, the large sitting room at the front of the house remains a space of tranquillity where the inspiring views down over Trevone beach can be fully appreciated. Contemporary furniture completes the atmosphere and effect perfectly.
On the top floor, after climbing the deeply carpeted stairs, lit with inset lights, there is another living space – set out like a ‘snug’. Again earthy pastel shades dominate this stylish 2nd floor landing. Here a 2nd plasma television is provided with a Wii games console, as well as comfy chairs to enjoy. Views extend across Trevone’s second ‘rocky’ beach towards Harlyn and Trevose Head.
- Kitchen and Dining
The entrance hall leads into the kitchen and dining area, a large room where much of your time will be spent. A formidable and square wooden dining table provides plenty of space for a casual breakfast or formal dinner.
The kitchen is equipped to be used. A 6-burner gas Neff cooker is the centrepiece of a beautifully designed and equipped room – black granite work surface topping hand-made kitchen units, large integrated full height fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Duralit toaster, and Jura coffee machine. Tableware, cutlery, and cookware are of the highest quality. Cafetieres, blenders and other kitchen gadgets have all been provided.
Santa Marina has gas central heating. The house is warm with plenty of hot water all year round. There is a utility room containing Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer appliances.
The back courtyard provides privacy for entertainment and meal times, with a large table and benches to allow eating al fresco for 10 at any time of day. A built-in barbecue is provided. The full length glass patio doors ensure that inside and outside are fully integrated – providing a wonderful large space for all to enjoy. Santa Marina has also been designed with environment in mind: a ‘grey water’ recycling system operates, and the ‘living’ green roof at the back of the property is ideal for natural insulation and good looks.
There is parking for 2 cars outside the property. If more parking is required, we can enquire with the Beach car park regarding renting spaces for your stay.
From Santa Marina, the beaches could not be closer. The beach cafe, surf shop and Trevone’s own village stores are all within a few minutes walk. The Well Parc pub is also nearby, accessed along the lane and then up its own footpath around the edge of Trevone.
Trevone itself is situated a couple of miles from Padstow and St Merryn, both providing world class dining and facilities, dominated by Rick Stein. Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant is only 15 minutes away - as is Newquay airport. Walks along the headland are breathtaking – with Padstow less than 2 hours breathtaking walk away. From Padstow, you can catch a ferry or water taxi to Rock, for sailing or other excursions. Surfing and other beach activities abound at Trevone, and at the other nearby beaches of Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon and Porthcothan. Trevose Golf and Country Club can also be enjoyed less than 10 minutes away – for golf, tennis or fresh water swimming.

We had a really great time, what a fantastic house and location!
It was great to have children’s toys and games and step/bath mat etc, this should be included on website, as is a major plus to families. Not to mention the fab assortment of buckets/spades/body boards.

We had another fabulous holiday at Santa Marina. The kitchen, in particular is really well appointed with good quality appliances and plenty of crockery, glasses etc. to suit our family group.
We had a leak from the first floor shower and an overflowing drain on the terrace which were fixed swiftly for which we thank you. The only issue we had was that the curtain runner for the first floor master bedroom did not run easily – such a small issue i am only noting as you asked for full feedback!
