Key Features
- Atmosphere
Trelawney is a striking and contemporary home positioned in the centre of Trevone. A huge open plan living area is light, airy and gives a real sense of space. The house has a delightful private garden, with sunny terraces and lawns to dine al fresco and to relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
- Living, cooking and dining
The upstairs living area is dominated by a huge picture window which frames the sea view. Sink into the sumptuous sofa and while away time just gazing at the sea in the distance. Slide back the balcony doors and let the sea breeze in – wonderful on a balmy summer’s day! A dining table seats six comfortably. Open plan living means that cooks need not feel left out, they can rustle up a holiday feast for everyone from the stylish, granite topped kitchen, fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, hob and the all-important coffee machine. A separate snug downstairs with desk, wall mounted TV and sofa is the ideal spot for younger guests to enjoy some downtime or for those looking to quiet moments away from the group.
- Sleeping
Trelawney has three bedrooms, all located on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed and is finished in gentle neutral tones. Patio doors lead out on the terrace – the perfect space to enjoy a morning coffee. This room has its own ensuite shower room, with walk in shower, basin and loo. The second bedroom is a double. A sea green feature wall, oak floors and white washed furniture give a sense of space and nature. This room also enjoys direct access to the garden as well. The final bedroom is a twin which also has access to an ensuite with a bath with a waterfall shower over, sink and loo.
- Outside
Trelawney’s private garden is a wonderful spot to enjoy the Cornish sunshine, enjoy alfresco dining or relax in a recliner with a good book. Potted palms and shrubs give the garden a Mediterranean feel.
Trelawney is around a 10 minute walk to the beach. The village has a vibrant feel – enjoy a cocktail or a bit to eat and listen to some live music in the summer at Bruno’s right by the beach. The Well Parc pub is just a couple of minutes’ walk away too.
- Nearby
Trelawney sits on a quiet no-through lane in the middle of Trevone. If you want to park up the car for as long as possible, there are shops around to cater to your daily needs. The village farm shop provides local produce and daily essentials. The beach café is good for a casual lunch, relaxing cup of coffee, takeaway pizza or evening meal. Surf and beach equipment can be bought or rented at the surf shop. And the Well Parc pub is easily accessible by foot.
Padstow Farm shop can be accessed in a few minutes by the almost unknown back road past the top of the beach – perfect for top quality meat and vegetables. Or carry on into Padstow for shopping and restaurants. Walking is perfect in both directions along the coast path – either round the headland or over delightful Hawker’s Cove to Padstow, or south to Harlyn, Trevose Head and beyond. The carved rock ‘swimming pool’, known locally as Tinker Bunny’s Pool on Newtrain beach, Trevone’s 2nd rocky beach, is very special and a recent film location for the BBC’s Malory Towers series. Dogs can be exercised on Newtrain Beach all year round. The main sandy beach is just perfect for everything you might want – whether sunbathing, castle-building, surfing, swimming, rock-pooling or taking part in the family cricket match.

What a brilliant place to stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, with an amazing view over Trevone bay and the coast. It’s done to a really high standard, with lovely art on the the walls that make you feel at home. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, huge living area (plus separate TV/playroom/family room), and the bedrooms and bathrooms all great size. The outdoor shower is a dream – both for sandy beachgoers and sandy dogs!
Thank you so much for a perfect stay.
