For the love of Cornwall – our favourite Valentine’s spots
20th January 2026
Now that the buzz of New Year is out of the way, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. The perfect time of year to arrange a short get away with your loved one to escape the hustle and bustle. We have the perfect, cosy homes for a relaxing break but here are our favourite spots and activities in North Cornwall to enjoy with your significant other!
If the great outdoors is your thing…
- Explore Trevose Headland – enjoy a stunning cliff top walk with dramatic ocean views and great photo moments
- Amble along wide sandy stretches of beach at one of our seven bays (Trevone, Porthcothan, Harlyn, Constantine, Treyarnon, Mawgan Porth, Booby’s Bay) before a delicious cafe beach treat
- Fishing trip with Emma Kate – throughout February, you can join the team on a laid back water adventure for two if you both love the sea! Enjoy a few hours on board Emma Kate for a totally unique experience!

Prefer to relax and dine out?
- Paul Ainsworth at No6 – one of Padstow’s best fine-dining spots for a truly memorable evening. For something extra special, this is the place to go!
- St Petroc’s Bistro (Rick Stein) – enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking the lights of Padstow harbour at St Petroc’s Bistro. Ample choice for lunch or dinner and the perfect place to dine just the two of you
- Rafferty’s Cafe and Wine bar – relaxed dinner venue with excellent wines. With a fantastic atmosphere, this is another top contender for a romantic evening out (delicious seafood!)

Looking for something a bit more quirky and unique?
- The Ghost Walk Padstow – something a little different but exciting for the thrill seekers! Enjoy a themed evening stroll around Padstow harbour, absorbing the local history with a few spooky encounters possible along the way! Spice up your Valentine’s stay with a date unique date night…
- The Camel Trail – one of Cornwall’s best attractions, enjoy a leisurely cycle from Wadebridge to Padstow along the traffic-free route. Hire bikes for the cycle there and back, marvel in the beautiful estuary (and maybe take a few snacks for the journey!) before lunch in Padstow and a cycle back. A great activity, all year round!
- After enjoying some time in the great outdoors, pop into a traditional pub with a roaring fire (there are lots around Padstow and the seven bays) for a snug end to your day. We can recommend the Cornish Arms at St Merryn!

Happy Valentine’s!
