The service provided by the staff in the office was first class and could not be bettered. They were personable , efficient and extremely helpful. As regards Newlands, the house was very welcoming and spacious.. I felt that dogs were fully accepted in the house which enabled me to relax. The stair gate was a brilliant idea meaning I did not have to constantly watch the dogs..
There are a couple of suggestions for improvements. There were only 8 mugs and for a house which accommodates 10 people this was not sufficient.. In fact only 6 eventually stayed at Newlands and we were constantly searching for mugs that were in the dishwasher.. There was also a paucity of cooks knives…..no paring knife, and no small basins.. Otherwise we could not fault the house and had a good time there
