What’s on in Cornwall this winter?

There’s plenty on offer this winter in Cornwall – from Christmas markets to wintery activities to help get you in the festive mood. Cornwall is so cosy when the seasons change and there is truly something for all the family (two and four legged!) to enjoy and make the most of the colder months.

Here are just a few suggestions from us to make the most of your wintery stay:

• Padstow Christmas Fayre 4th-7th December 2025

Prime location from all of our houses, Padstow Christmas Fayre is sure to be a festive favourite. Lighting up the harbour of Padstow, the free-to-attend, four day, community-led event celebrates Cornish food and drink and the unique creators, while also fundraising for local charities. The event promises live demos from over 50 chefs, an artisan food market (perfect for some Christmas shopping), a firework display, lantern parade, live music and lots more.
It’s certain to get you in the mood!

• The Eden Project Christmas Lights Experience – various dates in November, December and January

As always, the Eden Project know how to do Christmas! As well as their ice rink, Santa’s grotto and Christmas carousel, the biomes are lighting up after sunset for an immersive Christmas lights experience. Truly not one to miss, the biomes will each be filled with Christmas magic, music and light – fun for all the family!

• The Father Christmas Parade – Truro – 26th November 2025

To celebrate Truro’s late night shopping evenings, Truro will be hosting the Father Christmas Parade at the end of November. With activities throughout the day to create your own lantern and join the parade, it promises to be a fun filled family day out for all the family

• Skate by the sea – Watergate Bay November to January 

Enjoy the thrill of ice skating but with the amazing Atlantic ocean as your backdrop. For the first year ever, Skate by the Sea is being brought to Watergate Bay to enjoy a slightly different experience of skating! Book an individual session or enjoy a bite to eat and warming drink afterwards

• Cornwall Christmas Market – Royal Cornwall Showground – 12th-14th Dec

Totally immerse yourself in the festivities at Cornwall’s largest Christmas market. Meet Father Christmas and his reindeer, join in with carol singing or sip a delicious mulled wine while browsing over 135 gift and festive food stalls. Tickets are required for entry and are selling out fast so be quick!
