  • This house is professionally cleaned by the Raintree housekeeping team. For stays of two weeks or more, the house will be cleaned and the bed linen and towels changed weekly. Please note, Blue Seas requires a £500 Security Deposit.

  • The Property

Blue Seas is a cleverly designed, contemporary new build which has been thoughtfully and stylishly furnished from top to bottom. The house can sleep 10 with an optional sofa bed in the snug to sleep 12. It has an upside down arrangement with all the bedrooms ensuite and conveniently located together along one corridor on the ground floor. This leaves the entire 1st floor free for some grand architectural features - as you climb the solid oak stairs the space opens out and light floods in through a huge wall of glazing and large bi - fold doors. High ceilings, a large modern dormer window and roof light also help to flood the space with views and light. This area also features large bi - fold doors which once opened invite one out onto the frameless glass balcony.  From here and from the second raised mezzanine seating area within the living space you can enjoy pleasant distant snapshots of the nearby coastline and its offshore rocky outcrops. Blue Seas is a very well equipped modern house which features those extra special touches that make staying here a truly pleasurable experience.

  • Sleeping

Blue Seas sleeps 10, all bedrooms are situated along one easy corridor on the ground floor - all have doors straight out to the garden and feature high quality Vorwerk anti allergy carpets. Each bedroom has been simply but cleverly furnished to maximise space and light with built in wardrobes and walls of glazing. The first bedroom along the corridor is a Super King with ensuite bathroom. It features French style bedside cabinets and fitted wardrobe. Next along the corridor is a double bunk room with attractive modern bunks and an ensuite walk in shower room with contemporary grey bathroom units.  Next is a twin ensuite with walk in shower and then along the corridor onto the last Super King which has a spacious en - suite shower cubicle and separate bath. This last bedroom is the most spacious and also features larger glazing with double doors that can be opened out to the garden. The last room which can be used as an extra bedroom if requested is positioned in a separate part of the ground floor leading off the utility area. The snug which has a large corner sofa bed can be made up on request to sleep a further 2.

  • Bathrooms

Blue Seas bedrooms are all ensuite, with further communal bathroom facilities leading off a very useful separate utility space on the ground floor. These communal facilities consist of a wet room with shower and a separate cloakroom with basin. All finished off to the same high standards that run throughout the house. These additional facilities have also been carefully positioned so they can be accessed from an exterior side door. This makes them ideal for family use after the beach, alongside the outdoor shower when inevitably everyone wants to de - beach at once.

  • Kitchen, Living and Dining Space

The living space is undoubtedly the centre piece of the house, with graceful proportions - high ceilings and large expanses of glazing. The kitchen is hand made and is beautifully crafted from solid oak with a large polished concrete topped kitchen island, all other work tops are stainless steel and perfectly compliment the contemporary, simple styling. The kitchen is well equipped with a bespoke French Lacanche range cooker which is used by many professional chefs across Europe and finished off with an ultra modern slim line extractor above. The kitchen is bursting with useful tech - NutriBullet Blender, Nespresso Coffee machine, Water dispenser as part of the Fridge freezer and a dual temperature wine fridge. Dining is around a large Neptune table, which can easily seat 12 on the vibrant yellow dining chairs. There is also 4 contemporary bar stools to sit at and socialise around the kitchen island.

The living space is well lit and finished with striking suspended lighting which helps to emphasise the dramatic high ceilings and eye for detail. The main sitting space is furnished with 2 stylish and inviting Loaf sofas and one love seat. These provide ample seating space to relax upon. There is a large flat screen TV which is 4kHD internet enabled with blu-ray/DVD player and Sky + box to entertain alongside a  modern wood burning stove. There is also an additional relaxing mezzanine area set up a short staircase looking out over the open plan Living /Dining space with further Loaf velvet covered sofas, and frameless glass balustrade. The elevated position helps to maximise the views out the wall of glazing out to the sea in the distance. If privacy is needed or a separate area for the children is needed then there is also a downstairs snug with sofa bed. This space features another TV 4kHD internet enabled with blu-ray/DVD player and Sky + box. There is also a retro arcade games machine with over 60 different games, perfect for engaging children or nostalgics alike.

  • Facilities

There is a large utility room off the entrance hall, which can also be accessed from an exterior side door, comprising of useful counter top and cupboard space with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a kettle, microwave, fridge freezer, sink and a wooden drying rack - these are in addition to the facilities in the main kitchen on the first floor.

There is ample parking for up to 4 cars on the spacious driveway.  There is a Zappi 7kw car charger with a Type 2 socket.  You will need to bring your own charging cable and contact the office to register an interest before arrival, and then to arrange payment for electricity used when you leave.  Wireless internet is accessible throughout the house which is also additionally hardwired to each bedroom and is broadcast throughout - so internet signal is good all over. The house also features useful USB sockets in the bedrooms and kitchen space.

  • Outside

The landscaping at Blue Seas has been well thought out and neatly executed. The gardens have been freshly planted with a mixture of new and established plants. All of the plants are suited to the maritime climate, including the Cornish palms on the boundary (some of which came from Italy!). It has a large well manicured lawn - perfect for enjoying the sun or a game of cricket and a large paved patio. A perfect spot for outdoor dining or a heated game of table tennis on the outdoor table tennis table. This area can either be accessed directly from each bedroom or via an outdoor iroko staircase leading off the main living space. The frame less glass balcony leading out from the living space is a super spot for a gin and tonic - from which the evocative distant sea views towards Trevose Head can be enjoyed. Finally a dedicated 'post beach' area makes cleaning wetsuits and showering off after the beach a pleasurable efficient process, with a wetsuit drying rack, outdoor shower and tap.

  • Nearby

Blue Seas  is just yards from Trevose Golf Club, providing access to the most spectacular golf course, tennis, swimming as well as a thriving bar and restaurant available to all. The well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores is also minutes walk away, with a range of quality goods that should allow you to avoid your car and the supermarket while on your stay. Constantine Bay surf-shop, next door to the stores, will ensure you can enjoy the wonderful beaches and surf on your doorstep – whether you wish to buy or rent your wetsuits and boards, or just have your first surf lesson.

The beach at Constantine can be reached down the beach road past the shops, or down a small footpath from the corner of the golf club and down along the edge of the golf course. The path emerges in the middle of the fantastic dunes at the centre of the beach after less than 10 minutes walk.

St Merryn is the nearby village providing pubs and shops, as well as a number of restaurants. Padstow is also only 10 minutes drive away - with its array of boutique shops and gourmet eateries. Try the Seafood restaurant, St Petroc's or Rick Stein's cafe, Rojanos or No.6 for great food. Watergate Bay is 10 minutes by car and home of the Extreme Surf Academy and Emily Scott's beach front restaurant.  Newquay Airport is 15 minutes from the house.

And wonderful St Ives, the Eden Project are all within striking distance.

The house is perfect and are only thought is that a few garden chairs would be very helpful as the benches are quite tricky for  70 year olds or anyone with delicate back !

Firstly thank you for another wonderful stay at Blue Seas this year. It was very special to spend the week with all the extended family (ranging in age from 2-85!).  Blue Seas is a fabulous house and lends itself so well to our needs with the wonderful open plan living area and garden as well.
We would love to book it again for next year.  I do just need to confirm with all the family but please can you register our interest for the same week next year 🙂

It’s a bit too early for us to think of re-booking unfortunately.  I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the Blue Seas house.  There were six adults and three children in our party, our sons, daughters in law and our grandchildren aged six, three and one.  The space was amazing and everything top quality.  Everything we could have wanted was provided, thank you.  The only complaint we have is the weather (obviously), after such a good summer we assumed we would have great weather on our hols too – we should know better!!!
