The large open plan front-to-back living space - comfortably furnished - sets the tone for Bosporthennis. The French windows open the property to the large sunny terrace and garden. The refurbishment carried out in 2014 gives a clean and attractive air to the whole house. The car port at the front of Bosporthennis is also a useful area for play when the weather is not quite as good as hoped.
All three bedrooms have wooden beds and are comfortable, with each room having enough hanging and drawer space, bedside tables and lights. The master bedroom has a sleigh-style wooden king-size bed with matching bedside tables. Two bedrooms look out over the large back garden, enjoying a sunny aspect. There are two rooms with double beds and one with twin beds.
There are two bathrooms at Bosporthennis. The main bathroom has a bath, wash basin and loo and is simply furnished. There is also a shower room, with a separate loo and basin.
- Living and Dining
The sitting/dining room stretches from the front to the back of the property. The furnishings are traditional, with a pine dining table and six chairs. The sofas and chairs are large and comfortable. The room is equipped with TV and DVD, and there is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space in the room. The French windows, at the back of the sitting room, lead out to a sunny terrace and contribute significantly to the friendly and fun feel of the property. Outside meals are a joy on the sunny south-facing terrace.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. It has a window looking out over the front garden and is a pleasant space to prepare breakfast or the evening meal.
Bosporthennis is heated using storage heaters. A dishwasher is provided, as is a washing machine. Drying racks and an outdoor washing line allow washing to be dried if necessary. The sitting room is equipped with a modern flat screen TV and DVD. There is wireless broadband at the house.
The flat and sunny garden at Bosporthennis is a real feature. The area at the front of the property is large, but the enclosed huge space at the back is perfect for kicking a ball around, games of ‘tag’ while still allowing plenty of quiet space for reading or sunbathing on the sun-loungers. The terrace is perfect for outdoor meals catching the sun and warmth all day. The outdoor areas at Bosporthennis are a large part of what makes this property such fun to stay at.
Bosporthennis can be found on Sandy Common, a loop off the beach road at Constantine. The beach is 5 minutes walk down the lane and is fantastic, providing entertainment and relaxation for all. The sand dunes are fantastic for exploring; the surf is some of the best in the UK and is protected by lifeguards from May until October. The beach is huge so you can always find peace and quiet even in the busiest months. There are rock pools and climbing to be done, as well as exploring further afield to Booby’s Bay at the north end, and across the easy-to-cross headland to Treyarnon in the south.
Trevose Golf Course is also a short walk away – providing golf, tennis, fresh water swimming and a bar and restaurant in the evening. The atmosphere is often conducive for an early evening drink – whether golf is your game or not. Half-way to the golf course, is the well-stocked Constantine Bay Stores. It provides a good and high quality range of food and provisions – allowing you to ‘stay put’ for much of your holiday if you wish. Des’ surf shop next door sells and rents boards and wetsuits – either by the day or for your week. If you want to travel, there are further fantastic beaches in all directions – and Padstow is only 10 minutes drive away. Or catch the bus, for an even more interesting journey – while avoiding any parking concerns Padstow end!

The service was perfect, as always. SO efficient and the house was immaculate when we arrived. The cake and carton of milk for a much needed cup of tea was yet again such a welcome! We think the house could benefit from a row of hooks on the wall inside the front door – there is nowhere to hang coats. And hooks on the back of all the doors, especially in the shower room, would be useful for towels.
