The Property

  • Atmosphere

Tamarisk is a spacious house in the heart of Constantine Bay. Tucked away in a quiet spot with a private, peaceful atmosphere - it's perfectly located for Trevose Golf Course which is just 5 minutes walk away; the beach only 10 minutes. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen/dining space, light, bright sun room and a cosy sitting room, Tamarisk has all the right ingredients to help you relax during your holiday. The gardens are mature and along with a useful built in barbecue area there are mixture of peaceful spots to relax in the sun. Tamarisk is the perfect central base from which to explore Constantine Bay - an easy, comfortable house set in a tranquil location within striking distance of all the essentials - what more do you need?

  • Sleeping

There are 4 bedrooms at Tamarisk, all a good size - 1 super king, 1 king and two twins. The first bedroom you encounter as you head down the corridor is a twin with built in wardrobe and access to the Jack and Jill bathroom. It also features a chest of drawers and views out over the spacious front drive. The next bedroom along the corridor is the second twin again with built in wardrobe and access to the Jack and Jill bathroom. Again this twin has a large chest of drawers and pleasant views out over the front garden/drive. Moving further down and across the corridor brings you to the master super king with ensuite. Featuring built in wardrobes, a chest of drawers and views out over the back garden this room is spacious and light with a useful ensuite. The final bedroom next door to the super king is the king ensuite with tranquil views out over the back garden and built in wardrobes and chest of drawers.

  • Bathrooms

There are 3 bathrooms at Tamarisk; two of them an ensuite. The super king ensuite has a separate shower, bath and toilet. With the king featuring a separate shower, bath and loo also. The Jack and Jill bathroom can be accessed from both the twins with separate shower, bath and loo. Finally, there is also a cloakroom off the entrance hallway. All the bathrooms are clean and functional with a dash of retro charm.

  • Kitchen, dining & sun room

The kitchen and dining space at Tamarisk is large and light with a sociable open plan design. There is ample kitchen cupboard and worktop space with an attractive blue oil fired AGA cooker and separate electric oven and hob. The dining space has a large wooden table with TV on the kitchen counter, handy for those who like to catch up on the morning news over breakfast. The dining room leads straight through to the sun room which is a superb spot for relaxing with the paper or a good book. It looks right out over the back garden with glass all around and a large sliding door that can also be opened to further enhance the connection to the outdoors.

  • Living room

A spacious, comfortable room with one two and one three-seat sofa, alongside one armchair. Sliding doors can be opened on warmer days, with a cosy open fire perfect for colder months. The TV benefits from Sky sports and movies and a DVD player.

  • Facilities

Tamarisk is centrally heated with an open fire in the sitting room. It also features an oil fired AGA. There is an electric oven & hob, dishwasher, washing machine, drier, American-style fridge freezer and microwave. There is also a table-football table in the sun room.


Tamarisk has a pretty garden with mature shrubs and multiple areas to sit and relax in. There's a built in barbecue area outside on the terrace which provides the perfect spot for entertaining whilst the food is sizzling away. There is also a large lawn perfect for ball games or a spot of sunbathing which is partitioned from the rest of the garden by a large well maintained hedge. To the front of the house there is also a sizable well kept lawn area surrounded by a large driveway for 4/5 cars.


Trevose Golf Course is only a 5-minute walk away. Those who know will testify what a friendly place this is, as well as being a fantastic course. It is often the hub of activity at Constantine – providing a bar and restaurant, tennis and fresh water swimming. In the summer there are plenty of extra activities for all, especially teenagers.

Constantine Bay Stores and Des’ surf shop are just back along the lane, perfect for just about all you need. St Merryn is close and Padstow only 10 minutes drive – for larger shops and some retail therapy.

The beach is less than 10 minutes walk down the beach path alongside the golf course – or down the beach road. Booby’s Bay and Treyarnon beaches can also be walked to easily. Whether you seek activity and entertainment, relaxation or tranquility, the location is perfect.

We did though thoroughly enjoy our week in Tamerisk and liked staying in a property with so many personal touches.
The location next to Trevose was fantastic as well and so peaceful – oh how wonderful it would be to live there all year round!
The house was very spacious in the communal areas in particular and the 4 toilets were really handy.
The cake in the fridge was a lovely touch too.
