  • Atmosphere

Occupying the corner plot at the end of a small terrace in ever popular Trevone, Coronado is a spacious family home with a beachy vibe, open plan living and to die for sea views.  This thoughtfully designed home has contemporary interiors created with family friendly living in mind. Five bedrooms are spread across the first and second floors and most have that all-important sea view to wake up to. The huge living area is divided into two parts; one to enjoy fireside chats and a second to kick back and admire the view. Outside, a sunny terrace provides space for alfresco eating while a grassy area to the front is perfect for children and dogs to play while the adults keep watch from the raised deck above.

  • Living, cooking and dining

Arrive to a large hallway with plenty of space to store beach equipment, coats and wellies. From here head into the living area where there’s plenty of comfy seating to relax, chat and watch TV. Sandy hues with accents of blue echo its coastal setting and a cosy wood burner makes this a cosy space when the weather is chillier. A second living area has a sumptuous chaise longue to sink into to read or just relax. French doors lead out onto the raised deck for sunsets and sea views.

On the opposite side of the hallway, the kitchen diner is another generous space. Fully equipped with all you need to make holidaying easy this is a great place to gather while the cooks in the party prepare supper. There is also a second wall mounted TV making this a great space for the children to relax away from the adult conversation in the living room. When the weather is warmer, slide back the glass doors and head out to the sheltered terrace to dine alfresco under the Cornish sun.

  • Sleeping

Coronado offers five bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms. The first floor is home to four bedrooms; two doubles, a twin which can be made as superking for extra sleeping flexibility, and finally a bunk room with optional additional single bed which makes this a great space for the children to enjoy a holiday sleepover.  The final double room can be found on the second floor and benefits from its own ensuite shower room.

  • Bathrooms

There are plenty of bathrooms at Coronado; a family bathroom on the first floor, an ensuite to the double on this floor and a further ensuite to the second floor double room. All are contemporary, with neutral modern fixtures and fittings ensuring each is perfect for a post-beach pamper. The ground floor is also home to a further shower room just off the utility room – ideal for an after surf or swim wash off.

  • Outside

For those balmy summer nights, dine outside on the terrace before heading up to the raised deck to watch the sun go down over the horizon. The garden is enclosed, allowing children and dogs to play safely under the watchful eye of the adults above.

  • Facilities

There is dedicated parking for two cars at Coronado, with further parking usually available on-street nearby. The house is centrally heated throughout with a wood burner for extra cosiness in the cooler months.

  • Nearby

Trevone is a thriving and bustling seaside village. The sandy beach is popular with many nooks and crannies to sunbathe, as well as a broad expanse of sand for playing games. The bathing is safe and protected, but also good for surfing, particularly for beginners. Surfboards can be bought or rented at the beach shop. Right alongside the sandy beach is Newtrain beach, also known as the rocky beach. Great for exploring, rock pooling, and for protected swimming in the natural swimming pool. The two contrasting beaches provide great fun for children and adults alike! The beaches can be walked to in less than 10 minutes by road, or alternatively via a public footpath which you can reach by heading down Dobbin Lane and turning left before The Well Parc Hotel;  this will take you to the coast path but will take a little longer to walk to than by road.

Trevone Beach Shop and café is great, they sell all the surfing equipment you could need and do great breakfasts and pizza nights! The village shop further back from the beach is open 7 days, with quality bread and pasties, as well as other staple supplies.  The Well Parc provides an opportunity for lunchtime or evening drinks, and is located just down the road from San Marcos. The village has a great sense of community, one of which guests immediately feel a part.

Padstow is less than 5 minutes by car, with its historic harbour, special and individual shops and boutiques, as well as a huge range of restaurants and cafes, led of course by Rick Stein’s Seafood restaurant, bistro, café, and wonderful ‘fish and chip’ shop. Padstow Farm Shop, just outside Padstow itself, is great for local meat and vegetables and can be accessed by the ‘back lane’ out of Trevone – by car or by foot. Seafood can be bought from the atmospheric quay at Padstow.

The coast path is easily accessed – and walking is fantastic in both directions: to Padstow in under an hour, or across to Harlyn and Trevose Head.
