The Property

Situated at the end of a quiet lane, San Marcos is a lovely spacious house with plenty of room for all of the family. The house is bright and airy and has a modern feel throughout.

Complete with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a vast sunny living space and room for dining in both the kitchen and living area, it is perfect for a family getaway by the sea.

The bright modern kitchen is great for entertaining. It has sleek modern cabinets, plenty of storage space and the best appliances; it really does have everything you should need. Featuring a smeg fridge freezer and oven, a dishwasher, washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine, cooking should be effortless in this lovely house. You even get a glimpse of the sea from the kitchen window!

An island in the middle of the kitchen, with a built in hob is a great spot to chat and have a glass of wine while cooking dinner. There is also a small 4 seater table in the room, perfect for the kids or a quick lunch.

Living and dining

Stepping into the entrance hall at San Marcos, a fun yellow spotty carpet runs throughout. The hall way is spacious and is finished with a contemporary iron sofa; it is the perfect spot to rest after a long beach walk.

The living room is complete with a large smart TV, a beautiful turquoise L shape cosy velvet sofa and 2 leather tub chairs. The modern style wood burner, tucked in next to the sofa, will keep you cosy during the colder nights and the vast window overlooking the private garden makes the room spacious and bright.

Down one end of the room there is a dining area, with a shabby chic table and chairs; the dining table pulls out to a larger size if you are entertaining friends.  There are patio doors leading out onto the beautiful garden terrace.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms at San Marcos. A double en suite next to the kitchen, down the hallway a twin room overlooking the front garden, a further double next door to this and a double en suite on the other side of the corridor. There is a family bathroom x which has a bath with an overhead shower. The bathrooms are modern and are finished with high quality fittings. The 3 double bedrooms have large built in wardrobes are all good sized rooms.

San Marcos has fibre broadband, central heating throughout and a beautiful wood burner. There is a washing machine and a tumble dryer located in the garage. The wooden summer house in the garden provides a useful extra space complete with a desk, wifi and sofa.

Doors lead out from the dining area to the beautiful sunny enclosed back garden. Overlooking fields behind, the space is private and perfect for family BBQs or a peaceful glass of wine. There is a large rattan table, with comfy cushions and a gas BBQ.

The terraced area is pretty and peaceful with the summer house to one side. This extra space has double doors, a comfy sofa, TV, desk and wifi. It is the perfect spot to catch up on some work or for the kids to watch TV. There is also a hot shower next to the garage for washing down and rinsing the wetsuits after a day at the beach.

Around the front of the house there is a grassed area with beautiful flowers, palm trees and parking for 3 or 4 cars. Being located at the end of the lane, the area is quiet with little traffic.

From San Marcos, Trevone and all its facilities are within easy reach. The sandy beach is popular with many nooks and crannies to sunbathe, as well as a broad expanse of sand for playing games. The bathing is safe and protected, but also good for surfing, particularly for beginners. Surfboards can be bought or rented at the beach shop. Right alongside the sandy beach is Newtrain beach, also known as the rocky beach. Great for exploring, rock pooling, and for protected swimming in the natural swimming pool. The two contrasting beaches provide great fun for children and adults alike! The beaches can be walked to in less than 10 minutes by road, or alternatively via a public footpath which you can reach by heading down Dobbin Lane and turning left before The Well Parc Hotel;  this will take you to the coast path but will take a little longer to walk to than by road.

Trevone Beach Shop and café is great, they sell all the surfing equipment you could need and do great breakfasts and pizza nights! The village shop further back from the beach is open 7 days, with quality bread and pasties, as well as other staple supplies.  The Well Parc provides an opportunity for lunchtime or evening drinks, and is located just down the road from San Marcos. The village has a great sense of community, one of which guests immediately feel a part.

Padstow is less than 5 minutes by car, with its historic harbour, special and individual shops and boutiques, as well as a huge range of restaurants and cafes, led of course by Rick Stein’s Seafood restaurant, bistro, café, and wonderful ‘fish and chip’ shop. Padstow Farm Shop, just outside Padstow itself, is great for local meat and vegetables and can be accessed by the ‘back lane’ out of Trevone – by car or by foot. Seafood can be bought from the atmospheric quay at Padstow.

The coast path is easily accessed – and walking is fantastic in both directions: to Padstow in under an hour, or across to Harlyn and Trevose Head.
