  • Atmosphere

Experience the perfect beachside getaway. Trelyn is a wonderful family holiday home sleeping up to 10 guests and is located at the end of a quiet no-through road. The house offers stunning sea views from its garden and upstairs balcony. Inside, you'll find a large, open plan kitchen/diner, as well as five bedrooms, two of which include ensuite bathrooms. Decorated throughout in a neutral beachy theme, pops of colour add vibrancy and interest. There's plenty of parking space for three cars and easy access to both Trevone beaches for sea swims and sunbathing. Come and relax by the coast in comfort and style!

  • Sleeping

There are five bedrooms at Trelyn, two on the ground floor separated by a family bathroom, allowing guests with limited mobility some freedom and independence. A further three bedrooms are upstairs along with a further family bathroom. The first ground floor bedroom is a spacious king size with French doors leading to the private back garden – on a sunny morning, draw back the curtains, open the doors and enjoy a coffee in the pretty back garden. Next to the family bathroom, the second downstairs bedroom is a good sized twin. The remaining bedrooms are upstairs. The first king size room overlooks the front of the house and enjoys far reaching views over fields and out to sea. Opposite is a further twin room (can be made as a super-king on request) which has its own separate loo and basin. This room enjoys views over the back garden. The final upstairs bedroom is a very spacious super-king, with plenty of built in wardrobe space and its own ensuite shower room. This bedroom leads onto the upstairs sun room and balcony - the perfect space for curling up with a good book, watching wispy summer clouds and stunning sunsets.

  • Bathrooms

Trelyn has four bathrooms. Two are on the ground floor; a spacious family bathroom with separate shower cubicle is located between the two downstairs bedrooms. A further shower room is located at the rear of the house. Upstairs, the family bathroom on this level has a walk in shower, basin and loo. The twin bedroom on this level has an ensuite loo and basin only. The master bedroom benefits from an ensuite shower room with loo and basin.

  • Kitchen, dining and living

The heart of Trelyn is sure to be the large light and bright kitchen diner which is designed with families and socialising in mind. With plenty of workspace to rustle up a family feast, an island with bar stools, the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, gas hob and dishwasher. Even washing up is a pleasure at Trelyn with a window conveniently placed to enjoy those fantastic sea views! The dining area leads straight onto the front terrace – on warm summer days, open up the French doors and let in the cooling sea breeze. Sliding doors separate the kitchen/diner from the living room. This is a lovely sunny space with dual aspect French windows leading to both the front and back gardens. There is a large smart TV for entertainment and a gas fire provides atmosphere and ambience.

  • Facilities

Trelyn enjoys full gas central heating and wireless broadband. The washing machine and tumble drier are located in the utility room at the back of the house. This utility room is also the ideal space for drying off beach gear and is complete with a sink and worktops.

  • Outside

The outside space at Trelyn is a real treat. The rear garden is a lovely sunny and private spot to enjoy the fresh air. Divided into two areas; a decked part for relaxing and sunbathing, and a lawned area surrounded by pretty flower beds. Come evening light up the barbeque and enjoy an alfresco supper under the stars. At sunset, head to the front and watch the sun glide down over Trevose Head in the distance.

  • Nearby

Trevone is a thriving and bustling seaside village. The sandy beach is popular with many nooks and crannies to sunbathe, as well as a broad expanse of sand for playing games. The bathing is safe and protected, but also good for surfing, particularly for beginners. Surfboards can be bought or rented at the beach shop. Right alongside the sandy beach is Newtrain beach, also known as the rocky beach. Great for exploring, rock pooling, and for protected swimming in the natural swimming pool. The two contrasting beaches provide great fun for children and adults alike! The beaches can be walked to in less than 10 minutes by road, or alternatively via a public footpath which you can reach by heading down Dobbin Lane and turning left before The Well Parc Hotel;  this will take you to the coast path but will take a little longer to walk to than by road.

Trevone Beach Shop and café is great, they sell all the surfing equipment you could need and do great breakfasts and pizza nights! The village shop further back from the beach is open 7 days, with quality bread and pasties, as well as other staple supplies.  The Well Parc provides an opportunity for lunchtime or evening drinks, and is located just down the road from San Marcos. The village has a great sense of community, one of which guests immediately feel a part.

Padstow is less than 5 minutes by car, with its historic harbour, special and individual shops and boutiques, as well as a huge range of restaurants and cafes, led of course by Rick Stein’s Seafood restaurant, bistro, café, and wonderful ‘fish and chip’ shop. Padstow Farm Shop, just outside Padstow itself, is great for local meat and vegetables and can be accessed by the ‘back lane’ out of Trevone – by car or by foot. Seafood can be bought from the atmospheric quay at Padstow.

The coast path is easily accessed – and walking is fantastic in both directions: to Padstow in under an hour, or across to Harlyn and Trevose Head.

To all at Raintree

I just wanted to say what a lovely week we had at Trelyn. The house was excellent and the layout and rooms suited us perfectly. Thank you for organising us and for all your helpful communication. We were relatively late with making our plans, but delighted how it turned out!
Trevone is a real gem with its lovely beach, beach café/bar and delicious pasties from the farm shop. We had a very happy, if wet and windy week, and we would like to register our interest for next year.
With sincere thanks and very best wishes
