Grove Cottage Stayed: 11th Nov 2016
We had a lovely weekend at Grove Cottage thank you and it was well situated for the male members of our party to get to the races at Cheltenham and the ladies were able to go walking straight from the cottage.
We were pleased with the cottage overall, it was very cosy and warm, we did not need to light the fires.
The fact that the main oven did not heat up (we did check the instruction manual), although the grill worked and the little oven was efficient but a little small did not cause us a real problem.
A couple of other minor points, the dishwasher needed salt, we did purchase some and put it in so that it would work efficiently. The large settee in the lounge has a spring sticking up when you sit in the left corner.
There were also a few drips of water coming from the dining room ceiling which we diagnosed as coming from the shower in the double ensuite one morning (We have experienced that here when the seal between shower tray and tiles has come adrift).
Hopefully the owner will not be too offended with these comments, as someone who lets a holiday flat, I take the attitude that if you are not told you cannot put it right.
