Raintree offer over 70 dog friendly houses at the most dog friendly beaches
PLEASE NOTE: from Monday January 11th 2021, all new bookings made, that include a dog or dogs, will incur a small charge: £15 for the 1st dog per booking and £5 for the 2nd and subsequent dog up to the maximum allowed per house. These charges will also be applied where a dog or extra dogs are applied to an existing booking.
We provide great holidays for dogs and their owners. If you take a look at the house details against each house, you can clearly see which accept dogs and most do. Not only are most of our houses dog-friendly, five out of six of our main beaches welcome dogs all year round. This is very unusual as most of Cornwall only allows dogs on the odd beach, with most beaches dog-free from Easter to September. The beaches are not littered or greatly affected by dogs – owners are typically very considerate and rarely have we encountered issues with dogs on the beach or nearby.
You can see a map of Cornwall with dog friendly beaches marked by clicking here the No Dog map also shows how the Padstow/Trevone area really is a haven for dogs – with a large gap for North Cornwall. Trevone is our only beach that has a seasonal dog ban which runs from 15th May through to 30th September each year, although dogs are allowed before 10am and after 6pm – but Trevone’s second rocky beach, Newtrain, allows dogs all the time and the coastpath is easily accessible too. So our guests find that even Trevone is fine for dogs.
For each house, we detail whether dogs are welcome. When you book, we will ask you the breed and age of your dog or dogs. Some houses would prefer only one dog, others are happy with more than one, but often the age and breed may affect whether we are prepared to accept more than one dog so do let us know.
